Preview: 5 things about Limoges - Paris
On Sunday, Paris Saint-Germain Handball travel to the Parc des Sports de Beaublanc to take on Limoges. Find out all you need to know about this Liqui Moly StarLigue Matchday 2 clash.
1 - Gaining confidence
In the space of a week, Paris have made their return to action in all three major competitions. After defeating Pau-Billère (28-33) in the Coupe de France Round of 32 and Nîmes (36-33) in the league, Les Rouge et Bleu followed up with a 31-29 win over Pelister at Coubertin on Wednesday. The season is more than ever underway for Raul Gonzalez's men, who will be looking to continue their winning streak.

2 - Qualified for the European Cup, Limoges win!
By finishing fifth in the Liqui Moly StarLigue last season, Limoges qualified for the EHF European League play-offs for the first time in their history. Faced with Slovenian side Trebnje, the Limousins's lack of experience showed as they were soundly beaten in the first leg (32-28). However, spurred on by a raucous Palais des Sports at Beaublanc and a team fired up by the prospect of an historic qualification on the continental stage, Alberto Entrerrios' men produced a perfect performance in the return leg (35-24). In doing so, they booked their place in the European League group stage alongside Montpellier and Toulouse. This first European qualification was the start of a positive run, as Limoges followed up a win over Dunkerque on the opening day of the Liqui Moly Starligue season (37-34).

3 - Ihor Turchenko, Limoges' main asset?
Having made a solid start to the season with three wins in as many games, Limoges have been able to count on the strong performances from Ihor Turchenko. The left-back finished as his team's top scorer in two of their first three matches. Having already scored 20 goals in all competitions, the Ukrainian international will be looking to maintain his form against Raul Gonzalez's men. To do so, he can count on a sell-out crowd at the Parc des Sports de Beaublanc for this gala encounter.

4 - HEAD TO HEAD
In 2020, the men from the capital achieved what was then the biggest win in their history, against Limoges (42-20), before beating that record a year later when they played host to Cesson-Rennes (45-22). Last season, Paris won comfortably at Limoges (29-36) thanks to a solid performance from Jannick Green, who made 13 saves.
