Preview: 5 things about Chartres - Paris

Paris Saint-Germain Handball travel to Chartres on Sunday afternoon with the aim of continuing their unbeaten run in the league this season. We take a look ahead to the Liqui Moly StarLigue Round 6 clash.

1. THE TABLE

After heavy opening losses to Montpellier (22-38) and Limoges (39-34), Chartres have managed to turn things around in recent weeks. In Round 5, they put in a fine performance to defeat Aix 24-27 and now, with two wins in their last three matches, Chartres are now in tenth place.

The Parisians, meanwhile, have enjoyed a faultless start to the season, and are joint leaders with Montpellier and Nîmes. Last week, Les Rouge et Bleu secured a crucial win over Nantes at the Stade Pierre de Coubertin in a match of rare intensity (35-32).

2. JANNICK GREEN AMONG THE BEST

Once again imperious against Nantes, with 18 saves, Jannick Green has made a splendid start to the season. With 57 saves after five games, the Danish keeper is second only to former Parisian Yann Genty and Dunkirk's Valentin Kieffer, co-leaders with 60 saves apiece.

3. GOALSCORERS FACE OFF

Sunday will also see a duel between two of the Liqui Moly Starligue's top scorers: Kamil Syprzak and Vanja Ilic. With 41 goals to his name, Kamil is just three behind Dunkirk right-back Tom Pelayo at the top of the scorers' charts. For Chartres, Ilic has made an excellent start to the season and is one of his team's main attacking threats. With an 83.72% success rate, the Serbian is certainly one of the players to watch out for on Sunday.

4. HEAD TO HEAD

On Sunday, the capital club face Chartres for the tenth time in their league history. The historical record leans in favour of the Parisians, who have won every one of the encounters between the clubs.
