Parisian players earn Play-offs first-leg nods
Paris Saint-Germain Handball, who beat Szeged (30-31) on Thursday evening in the first leg of the EHF Champions League play-offs, saw several of their players receive individual honours.
Top Goals
We had sensed it as soon as he had performed his move at the Pick Arena. Yahia Omar chilled the Hungarian arena with a sumptuous move. In right-back position, the Egyptian international eliminated an opponent, but found himself in a slightly tighter angle. No problem for Yahia! Our left-footer then performed a sublime roucoulette that ended up in the centre of the opposition's goal. A high-class move and a well-deserved reward.

Top Saves
At the other end of the court, Andreas Palicka also proved inspired. Among his five saves in the game, the Swedish goalkeeper made one particularly impressive stop. When Mario Sostaric found a space to come and challenge the Les Rouge et Bleu goalkeeper, he came up against the latter's presence. Pale' first blocked his shot, before pushing away the attempt of the Croatian right winger with his right foot, which had risen to a spectacular height. Unsurprisingly, he is in the Top Saves of the week.

Team of the week
Thanks to his spin-shot, but also to his seven goals in the match as a whole, Yahia has been named in the team of the week at right-back. He is joined by his Parisian team-mate, Kamil Syprzak. Our Polish pivot came close to a 100% success rate with eight goals from nine attempts. He now has 96 goals this season on the European stage (only Sostaric has done better, with 107 goals).
