Parisian internationals on fire!

During an action-packed international break, our Rouge et Bleu shone on duty with their respective national teams, notably in France's Trophée des Continents campaign and Spain's participation in the Olympic Qualifying Tournament.

LES BLEUS IN CONTROL AGAINST ARGENTINA

In their first match since winning the Euro 2024 final against Denmark, France were back in front of their home fans for the Trophée des Continents, a friendly tournament taking place in Montpellier this week. In addition to the presentation of their Euro trophy, Les Bleus were in action against another continental champion: Argentina. Winners of the 2023 Pan-American Games, the South Americans had every intention of continuing their good run of form. However, Guillaume Gille's men were in fine form and claimed a first win (32-23) ahead of their clash with the Egypt of future Parisian Omar Yahia on Saturday afternoon. Elohim Prandi was given a hero's welcome at the Sud de France Arena and contributed two goals to Les Bleus' success.

SOLÉ'S SPAIN TAKE CARE OF BUSINESS AGAINST BAHRAIN

It's a decisive week for La Roja, with the Olympic Qualification Tournament looming large. In a group comprising Brazil, Slovenia and Bahrain, it was against the latter that the Spaniards got off to an easy start on their way to Paris (39-27). Ferran Solé (two goals) played a key role in Spain's excellent attacking display. With this victory, Jordi Ribera's men can guarantee their qualification for the Olympic Games on Friday. To do so, Ferran Solé and his team-mates will need another win, against Slovenia.
