Our internationals continue to shine at the World Cup

On Monday, Ferran Solé Sala's Spain and Andreas Palicka's Sweden both clinched wins at the 2023 World Cup.

SPAIN - IRAN: 35-22

A clean sweep for La Roja! Winners of their first two matches and already qualified for the main mound, Spain finished the job against Iran. Once again, they could count on the efficiency of Paris Saint-Germain Handball's right-winger: Ferran scored six times from eight attempts) and ended the match joint-top scorer with Alex Dujshebaev. Spain thus concluded their group phase with a perfect three out of three.

SWEDEN - URUGUAY: 47-12

The Swedes gave their fans plenty to smile about! In their own Scandinavium Arena in Gothenburg, the co-hosts made short work of Uruguay. Andreas watched from the stands as his team won by a landslide. Led by Eric Johansson's eleven goals, the home side put on a festival of attacking and defensive handball. The Swedish rearguard was very solid and hardly saw their nets shake. Just like Spain, Sweden ended their first round with three wins from three games.
