Our handballers get back into the swing against Ivry
Paris Saint-Germain handball defeated US Ivry 37-31 in a pre-season friendly at the gymnase Auguste-Delaune on Tuesday 13 August.
Three weeks after resuming training, the Parisians continued their pre-season on Tuesday with a match against US Ivry, a club present in the Liqui Moly StarLigue since 2022 and coached by former Parisian player Didier Dinart.
Les Rouge et Bleu were in complete control of their first warm-up match and deservedly won 37-31.
The match was played over four periods of 15 minutes, giving Raul Gonzalez and his staff the opportunity to test the different systems and tactics they had prepared over the last few weeks. Numerous substitutions were also made during the match, allowing all the players to take part in the return to action.
The capital club's players will leave tomorrow for their tour of Japan. The programme includes two warm-up matches: the first against Zeekstar Tokyo on Tuesday 20 August, and the second against the Japanese national team on Thursday 22 August.
The Parisians will then play their first official match of the 2024/25 season against HBC Nantes in the Trophée des Champions. This prestigious duel will be played at the Futuroscope Arena in Poitiers on Saturday 31 August.
