Nikola Karabatic: 'It could have gone either way'

Paris Saint-Germain Handball maintained their unbeaten run in the Lidl StarLigue on Thursday evening, drawing 29-29 with Nantes in Round 17. Raul Gonzalez, Nikola Karabatic and Rodrigo Corrales look back on this superb game.

Raul Gonzalez (Paris Saint-Germain Handball coach):
"It's difficult to come and win here... I think what we lacked was our first 15 minutes, where we missed everything. The second half was better, but Nantes played well until the end. Especially at home, where they're very strong! If we continue to play like we have since the beginning of the season, with our current position, everything should go well. We need to stay focused because we're going to have another game soon."

Nikola Karabatic (Paris Saint-Germain Handball playmaker):
"When you look at the start of the match, you can be satisfied with the draw, but after the last minute of the game we're less so, as we had a shooting opportunity to win in. But we could also have lost in the final moments if Rodrigo (Corrales) hadn't made several good saves. It could have gone either way. So we can be happy with this result. We were able to come back thanks to our experience and by not panicking. We played well in the second half - we just missed a few chances against a great goalkeeper. We had the chances to win, but against this team at home, it wasn't easy. We can't afford to lose against Zagreb at Coubertin on Sunday."

Rodrigo Corrales (Paris Saint-Germain Handball goalkeeper):
"It's always difficult in Nantes. We got off to a very bad start, but then we solved our defensive problems. Both teams wanted to win, but we can be happy to take a point here and maintain our lead over The H. It's very important because the league is difficult. It's a very nice venue with a good crowd, so they were very motivated from the start of the game. Fortunately, we were able to come back at the end of the first half. We never gave up! Now we have to win against Zagreb, especially as we're at home. We'll be able to make second place in Group A official."
