Mikkel Hansen: 'they're a complete team'

How did pre-season go?
As usual, we worked hard. But everything was different with COVID. Several friendly matches were cancelled... Often we go to Denmark or Germany, but this year we stayed close to Paris. A lot of players have arrived and at the moment we are still lacking a bit of rhythm. We still need some time to improve.

Did it cost you the victory against Flensburg?
The result was not good... We played well during the first 45 minutes. But in this kind of match, you can't stop playing in the last quarter of an hour. We saw right away that this was not possible in the Champions League. We made too many mistakes and I think the team hasn't yet found its true level... But we're working every day to improve that!

On Wednesday, you will face Meshkov Brest. What do you know about this team?
They're a team that plays very well. Especially at home. Their defence is aggressive. Their attack is equally effective, with their centre-half Stas Skube. They always find a way to get the ball to shooters. They're a complete team and everyone will have problems travelling to play them.

After the defeat against Flensburg, is victory obligatory?
The goal here is to win every match. Every defeat is hard to swallow and all players take it personally. We represent a club that has great ambitions and is looking for victory. But it will be hard, because this is the Champions League and our opponents are performing well. We are only looking for victory! We work only to win, not to draw or lose.
