Mathieu Grébille: 'Important to start the year with a win'

Check out the reactions from Raul Gonzalez, Mathieu Grébille and Dominik Mathé after Paris Saint-Germain Handball's Coupe de France quarter-final win in Chartres (35-37).

RAUL GONZALEZ (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL COACH):

"We started well by taking a four-goal lead. But then Chartres reacted and caused us problems. That's what made the game very tight until the end. But we were able to win and I am proud of my players. The recovery is always complicated after a World Cup. We are happy with this qualification. It will give us confidence for our EHF Champions League match in Zagreb."

MATHIEU GRÉBILLE (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL LEFT-WINGER):

"It was a really complicated first match back. The squad was separated for a while and we had very little time to work together. The internationals didn't have any rest and, if you add to that the injuries we had, against a team that plays well, things get pretty difficult. But we knew how to produce what we needed to get the win. It wasn't easy, but I'm happy. It's important to start the year with a win."

DOMINIK MATHÉ (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL RIGHT-BACK):

"I feel good after my recovery. It had been a year since I had played. I am happy with the victory, even if it was difficult. There are still things to work on. I expected a difficult game, especially after our league match, which was really tough."
