Mathieu Grébille: 'Here we go!'

Paris Saint-Germain Handball got their first win of the season in the EHF Champions League on Thursday evening, beating Elverum 35-29. Raul Gonzalez, Mathieu Grébille and Sadou Ntanzi gave us their analyses.

Raul Gonzalez (Paris Saint-Germain Handball coach):
"We started well in attack. The match was very good, since everyone was able to play and put in a good performance! We're feeling better and better as the season does on. This victory was important after our first two defeats. One more today would have made things more complicated. I'm satisfied because I'm seeing improvement in the many matches we play."

Mathieu Grébille (Paris Saint-Germain Handball left-winger):
"Tonight we had a good match. We were coming off two defeats in the Champions League, so we had to rectify the situation. We knew that we had to take this opponent seriously and fight to the end! We were able to do the work in the first half to get into a good position and make the difference little by little in the second. We would have liked to win our first two games, but that wasn't the case. But hopefully now we can string together strong run. Here we go!"

Sadou Ntanzi (Paris Saint-Germain Handball centre-half):
"We knew that Elverum are a great team... We had to push to take the lead and that's what we did. Thanks to a good defence and Vincent's saves, we were able to break clear. In attack, we gave it our all and scored some easy goals. That allowed us to impose our game. We absolutely had to do that, otherwise it was going to be very hard, especially before going to Kielce. I'm also happy that I was able to play and help the team; I try to step up when Raul calls on me."
