Luka Karabatic: 'Mission accomplished'

Check out what Raul Gonzalez, Jacob Holm and Luka Karabatic had to say after Les Rouge et Bleu's 34-24 win over Nîmes in Liqui Moly StarLigue Round 15.

RAUL GONZALEZ (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL COACH)

"I think we controlled the game from start to finish, both in attack and defence. Everyone did a good job. We now have a seven-point lead over Montpellier and a five-point lead over Nantes. Things are going well at the moment, but we need to take it one step at a time. Now everyone needs to relax and rest their minds over the holidays."

LUKA KARABATIC (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL PIVOT)

"We're finishing 2023 on a high. We knew this trip would be tricky, because it's always difficult to pick up points at Le Parnasse. We've had a busy schedule over the last few weeks, and we wanted to pick up as many points as possible. Everyone played a very serious match and I'm proud of the team. We've had to draw on our resources over the last two months, so to finish like this is very positive for the future. We've still got half a season to go and a lot can happen, but at least we're leaving with a sense of achievement."

JACOB HOLM ( PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL LEFT-BACK)

"I'm very happy. It's a superb victory - winning by ten goals away from home is an excellent result. It's the perfect way to wrap things up before we go on holiday. There have been ups and downs in this first half of the season, and I've learnt a lot at the same time: learning French, integrating into the team, adapting to the coach's tactics... I'm looking forward to the rest of the season and I'm happy to be here."
