Luka Karabatic: 'A turning point in the season'

Paris Saint-Germain Handball's 31-26 win over Monptellier at the Sud de France Arena was the biggest win in Liqui Moly StarLigue Round 18, and it took them even further clear atop the standings. Check out what Raul Gonzalez, Luka Karabatic and Ferran Sole Sala had to say after the victory.

RAUL GONZALEZ (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL COACH)

"I think we controlled the match well. The start was excellent. We won by a big margin and I'm very happy. It's very important because it's never easy to win here, as we saw last year. It's a great win and a crucial one in our bid to win the championship. Everyone stayed focused, even when Montpellier closed the gap. They're a very good team, but we knew that if we played our game, it would work."

LUKA KARABATIC (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL PIVOT)

"It's a turning point in the season, because it's always complicated to travel to Montpellier. We'd lost our last two games here, so we're very proud to have won this clash. It was a game we had our eyes on and I think we were able to stay focused from start to finish. There are still a lot of games to go, but if we continue like this, it will be a good sign. It's a victory tonight and we want to savour it, but in four days' time we go to Zagreb. We're racking up the wins, but the games are coming thick and fast, with a lot of travelling."

FERRAN SOLE SALA ( PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL RIGHT WINGER)

"We were aware of the importance of this match. The French championship is very important, because it's the title we've been fighting for all season. Now we have to concentrate on the last two fixtures in the EHF Champions League. We need to win both matches, because we want to finish in the top two to go straight into the quarter-finals. It's not totally up to us, but we're going to give it everything we've got."
