Les Bleus punch ticket for Euro 2024

On Saturday, France had the opportunity to secure qualification for the next Euros, which will take place in January 2024 in Germany - and that's just what they did, getting the better of Poland 30-27 in Aix-en-Provence.

After their success against the Poles a few days earlier (28-38), France could approach this second round with more confidence. This allowed them to hold the lead throughout the first act, even though the visitors were never really far away (30': 16-14). Despite Kamil Syprzak's 2 from 2 as Poland put up a good fight, Guillaume Gille's men maintained their advantage until the end - thanks in part to a goal by Elohim Prandi. With this success - their fourth from as many matches - France continued their flawless run in Group 8.

With a four-point lead and a better goal difference than their nearest rivals, Luka Karabatic and his teammates are guaranteed of a place at the next Euros. As for our Polish pivot and his compatriots, they will have to secure their ticket for Germany in the last two games (away to Italy and at home to Latvia).
