Le sans-faute de Luc Steins mis à l’honneur

Imperious in the capital club’s tour de force against Créteil (30-19), Luc Steins was rewarded with his first inclusion in the Liqui Moly StarLigue team of the week for the season.

Coming in the middle of a crucial week for the Les Rouge et Bleu's future in Europe, the derby against Créteil had all the makings of a banana skin for the capital club. Raul Gonzalez's men had to fight off fatigue after a gruelling trip to Hungary three days earlier, while also having no room for error in the league if they were to maintain their advantage over nearest chasers Nantes. Fortunately, the Spanish coach has a squad of real quality, both on the court and on the bench. Twelve of the capital club's fourteen outfield players found the net against Créteil.

LUC STEINS INVOLVED IN 50% OF PARISIAN GOALS

And among them, it was Luc Steins who particularly lit up the match with his talent. With six goals from as many attempts, our centre-half put in his best performance of the season on the domestic stage. Not only was the Dutch international imperious in front of goal, he also made the difference in the build-up play. With nine assists, Luc was directly involved in 15 of the 30 goals scored by the capital club on Sunday. His performance was rewarded with a nomination as one of the seven players of the week for Liqui Moly StarLigue Matchday 21. A fitting way to celebrate his extension at Paris Saint-Germain until 2029!
