Jannick Green: 'A perfect week'

Paris Saint-Germain Handball wrapped up their pre-season training camp in Tokyo on Wednesday with a fine win over Japan (24-39). Check out the reactions from Raul Gonzalez, Jannick Green and David Balaguer.

RAUL GONZALEZ (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL COACH):

"We started the game well. We didn't lose a single ball, which allowed us to score a lot of goals. In defence, Jannick [Green] and Andreas [Palicka] were exceptional. We can be satisfied because we've only been preparing for the game for a week. Everyone seems to have got to grips with our style of play and it's going to get better and better. The training camp in Japan went well. We played some matches, trained well and got to experience Japanese culture. It was a great experience."

JANNICK GREEN (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL GOALKEEPER):

"We played well. Better than on Monday against Zeekstar (37-26). It's in keeping with our preparation: we're going to get better and better. The week in Japan was very good. The days were magnificent. We were able to train and see bit of Tokyo. It was perfect! Now we're going to perfect our physical conditioning. We need to work on that now, because it'll be too late during the season. We also need to play a lot, because we have three new players. So we need to take the time to find our automatisms. That's what preparation is all about."

DAVID BALAGUER (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL RIGHT WINGER):

"We played a complete match. Even though Japan had chances, we defended well. So we were able to play the ball out and above all we ran, which is the most important thing. It's rare to play two matches without a lot of training, so we were tired. But we were lucky to come to Japan. We had to make the most of it and that's what we did. It was a full week. The next one's going to be complicated, because we're going to have to work on our physical conditioning. Then we'll be ready for the restart."
