Ferran Solé: 'Early days'

On Wednesday evening, Paris Saint-Germain Handball were defeated in their return to competition seven months after their last match. Ferran Solé, Yann Genty and Jesus Gonzalez look back on the 28-29 defeat to Flensburg (28-29) on EHF Champions League Matchday 2.

Jesus Gonzalez (Paris Saint-Germain Handball assistant coach):
"We were in front for almost the whole match, but it wasn't enough... We missed too many shots, especially in the last quarter of an hour. In defense, we didn't do well either. We lost a very important game. We have to improve all these things! It's also difficult for our supporters, who have been waiting for our return for a long time."

Ferran Solé (Paris Saint-Germain Handball right-winger):
"We are very disappointed... We really wanted to win this first match. But the second half was not enough. But it's early days, we can still win many more! The next one will have to be a win. We'll have to be 100% to do it against Aix."

Yann Genty (Paris Saint-Germain Handball goalkeeper):
"We may not have had a bad match, but we lost... We led for the whole match and we're wondering how they managed to come back, but in the end, it's our opponents who won... We didn't manage to make the break and we paid for it, in spite of the fact that we have more players than them. We'll have to win the next games to get our morale back."
