Ferran Solé and David Balaguer extend their contracts with Paris Saint-Germain Handball

Paris Saint-Germain Handball is delighted to announce that Ferran Solé and David Balaguer have extended their contracts for a further season. The two Spanish right wingers are now tied to the Club through to 30 June 2025.

Born in Catalonia, in the province of Barcelona (Spain), Ferran Solé came up at BM Granollers, where he played for five seasons, before joining Fénix Toulouse Handball in 2016.

The Spanish international signed for the capital club in July 2020. In 138 appearances for Les Rouge et Bleu, the Paris No.14 has scored 495 goals in all competitions, winning three domestic championships (2021, 2022, 2023) and two Coupe de France titles (2021, 2022).

With the Spanish national team, the 31-year-old left-hander was named best right winger at the 2018 European Championship, a competition he has won twice with La Roja (2018, 2020).

Also born in Barcelona, David Balaguer won three Spanish league titles, a Copa del Rey and two Spanish Super Cups with his hometown club.

The Spanish international arrived in France in 2015 after signing for HBC Nantes, with whom he won a Coupe de France and a Trophée des Champions in 2017. In the 2022 off-season, 'Bala' joined Paris Saint-Germain Handball, where he has racked up 200 goals in 74 appearances for the capital club.

With La Roja, the right winger was crowned European champion in 2018, along with Ferran Solé.

"We're delighted to be continuing the adventure with Ferran and David. They make up a complementary and effective pair right wingers. This extension gives us continuity with these valuable members of our squad. Since their respective arrivals, they have shown great professionalism and exemplary determination. I am convinced that they will continue to help the Club in its quest for trophies."
Thierry Omeyer, General Manager of Paris Saint-Germain Handball

"I'm really proud to be making a long-term commitment to Paris Saint-Germain Handball. I feel very much at home in this city and with this high-quality team, coached by one of the best coaches in the world. This new extension was a logical step for me. I'd like to thank the club for renewing its confidence in me. As I have done since I arrived, I will continue to give my all for our colours and for the fans who support us every day."
Ferran Solé

"Continuing with Paris Saint-Germain Handball was an obvious choice. As soon as I arrived in the capital last season, I felt very quickly integrated into this squad made up of talented players and led by a very experienced staff. The close working relationship with my compatriot Ferran Solé was also a major factor in my decision to continue my adventure here. I'm proud to be able to make my contribution to the Club's future success."
