Ferran off to a good start!

On Thursday, Spain played the first match of its preparation for the 2023 World Cup, in the International Tournament of Spain, against Romania. La Roja won (42-29).

Despite a tricky start, the Spaniards came out on top at the Palau d'Esports L'Illa. Led by three goals from Parisian Ferran Sole Sala, but also by a very efficient 5-1 defence, they took a solid lead into the break (30': 23-16). La Roja confirmed the trend in the second half to get the win and kick their World Cup preparations off in the best possible way.

This Friday, Spain take part in the second round of the International Tournament of Spain, against Bahrain. On the same day, Andreas Palicka's Sweden (World Cup hosts) take on Serbia.
