Elohim Prandi: 'We did it right'

On Sunday afternoon, Paris Saint-Germain Handball played their rescheduled Lidl StarLigue Round 9 clash with Chartres. Les Rouge et Bleu continued their flawless run with a tenth win in as many matches (36-23), and Raul Gonzalez, Elohim Prandi and Luc Steins, for his first match with his new side, gave us their thoughts on the win.

Raul Gonzalez (Paris Saint-Germain Handball coach):
"We were very concentrated in all areas in the first period. Our strong defence allowed us to score on quick moves. After that, Chartres improved, but we were able to stay solid. We have to win all our games and stay focused. If we're not focused, we can lose. Luc Steins had his first game with us. He still has to adapt because he doesn't know all of our players well. He's going to be good for us! We are counting on him."

Luc Steins (Paris Saint-Germain Handball centre-half):
"We started well, putting a lot of speed into the game. We took the lead and controlled the game well. I felt good for my first game. I'm also happy to play for one of the most amazing teams in the world. We still have to work on some automatisms, but I'm satisfied. It's good to impose yourself in this way and you have to keep working to win. We'll have to do it, especially ahead of our next two away games - in Nantes and Montpellier! It's important for our staying in top spot."

Elohim Prandi (Paris Saint-Germain Handball left-back of):
"We did it right as of the very the start of the match. In particular, we could count on an excellent Vincent (Gérard). We pushed forward well and we played fair. The match wasn't perfect though, there are still some little things to tweak. But I think that fatigue played a role. It was a clean performance! We have two big games ahead of us in Nantes and Montpellier. It's going to draw on our energy reserves, but we love matches like those ones!"
