Elohim Prandi: 'Congratulations to the team'

On Tuesday afternoon, Paris Saint-Germain Handball recovered perfectly from defeat to Barcelona 24 hours previously (37-32) by taking third place in the 2019-20 Velux EHF Champions League Final4. Les Rouge et Bleu put in a great performance beat Veszprém 26-31! Check out what Raul Gonzalez, Mikkel Hansen and Elohim Prandi had to say...

Raul Gonzalez (Paris Saint-Germain Handball coach):
"It was important to take third place. We wanted to be playing in the final, but instead we managed to win the third-place play-off. It's hard to prepare your players after a defeat like the one we suffered on Monday, but they managed to find the motivation to secure a place on the podium."

Mikkel Hansen (Paris Saint-Germain Handball left-back):
"It was complicated... We always go to the Velux EHF Final4 with the dream of reaching the final, so it's difficult. Mentally, it was hard to play this match, but we managed to win it, despite a great performance from Veszprém."

Elohim Prandi (Paris St. Germain Handball left-back):
"We did a lot of good things in attack and defence, thanks to an excellent Yann Genty, who anchored us expertly. I'm proud of the team, because we were able to lift our heads. You have to congratulate the team for that. Everyone needed to dig deep and ask some tough questions. I'm very happy to have been able to help the team. I'm thinking about the next Final4, in June, because I'm from Paris and I hope to take part in it. I'm giving my all for this club. It's frustrating, but you never turn your nose up at a place on the podium. The trust among us has been established and this victory is for the fans and all the people in the club who work with us every day."
