Dylan Nahi: 'A hard-fought match'

After their 31-25 win over Motor Zaporozhye (31-25), Jota Gonzalez, Rodrigo Corrales and Dylan Nahi gave us their thoughts on Les Rouge et Bleu's Velux EHF Champions League performance.

Jota Gonzalez (Paris Saint-Germain Handball assistant coach):
"Given our place on the table, we weren't obliged to win tonight, but we wanted to prevail all the same. This win keeps us on the positive dynamic we have been riding for the last few matches.
Against Zaporozhye, we played pretty well overall. Our defending six against seven, as well as what Dylan and Luka Stepancic brought to the team tonight were hugely satisfying for us. It showed that, in this team, everyone works together well. We know that we have a very important match waiting for us next Thursday against Nantes: if we win, we can take a decisive step towards clinching the Lidl StarLigue title."

Rodrigo Corrales (Paris Saint-Germain Handball 'keeper):
"It's always important to win in front of your own fans, especially when they support us like that for one hour. Despite the fact that we were already assured of top spot, we stayed serious and focused and we got this 13th win. That gives us confidence for the matches to come against Nantes and Montpellier next week.
We also beat the record for points from a Velux EHF Champions League group stage campaign, and that makes me extremely proud of this team and my team-mates."

Dylan Nahi (Paris Saint-Germain Handball left-winger):
"Even though we were already qualified, we needed to take this match seriously. That's what we did this afternoon, and that's what got us the win against Motor Zaporozhye. We knew it wouldn't be an easy match, as Motor were still looking to stitch up fifth place. So it was a hard-fought match that was tough to win. But our strong defence and our playing the ball out form the back were very effective."
