David Balaguer: 'A step forward'

Check out what Raul Gonzalez, Luc Steins and David Balaguer had to say after Paris Saint-Germain Handball's excellent EHF Champions League Matchday 11 win in Zagreb (30-33).

RAUL GONZALEZ (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL COACH):

"This win will allow us to fight until the end for the first place. These are two very important points, because it is very close between Veszprém, Magdeburg and us. We have to savour it, but not too much, because we have another game to prepare for. I am very proud of what the players have shown. We didn't have much time to prepare. But in the Champions League you have to do your best and that's what we did. We can be happy."

LUC STEINS (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL CENTRE-HALF):

"The victory is good for us, because we had a lot of people missing. We all gave 200% for this result. We can be proud as we take the two points back to Paris. With several absentees, we had to take a little time to get used to each other. But thanks to Ferran (Solé Sala) who was excellent at right-back, but also to Sadou (Ntanzi), Yoann (Gibelin) and Dominik (Mathé), it worked well. We can be happy with this result."

DAVID BALAGUER (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL RIGHT-WINGER):

"Despite all the injuries, we managed to take a step forward. We showed that even with key absences, this team can play great matches. We worked all week and we managed to adapt to the new players in the team. The match was very accomplished and everyone helped. I think it was strength of character that got us the win."
