Another win as pre-season continues

On Friday afternoon, Paris Saint-Germain Handball travelled to Chartres for their third pre-season match. After winning their first two games - against Créteil (31-36) and Skjern (34-28) - Les Rouge et Bleu were looking to combine work and pleasure!

Once again, Raul Gonzalez's men took a few minutes to get into the game. The hosts, spurred on by the fans who had turned up on a weekday afternoon, were the first to make the break (5': 4-2). The capital club quickly found themselves chasing the score but, fortunately, Luc Steins was quick to act and allowed his team to reduce the deficit.

A long mano a mano then began, with the gap barely changing. A few moments before the break, Paris found a flaw in Chartres system and perfectly exploited thanks to the Karabatic brothers, who got Paris back on level terms.

At the break, the score was. Nonetheless, Luc had been working hard!

As has been the case every time since the beginning of pre-season, the second half turned in favour of our team. It must be said that things are easier when you have a player like Mikkel Hansen in your ranks!

Despite a strong performance by Chartres, Les Rouge et Bleu were in control of the game. Thanks to a very solid defence - perfectly supported by Vincent Gérard when needed - they even managed to get their noses out in front.

There was not much time left to play and the Parisians had the upper hand in the game - even more so when Mathieu Grébille took advantage of dual runs from Luc and Mikky to give his team a three point lead.

Paris Saint-Germain Handball won (31-35) and continued their flawless summer preparations, which will end on Saturday afternoon with the visit of Dunkerque at the Stade Pierre de Coubertin.
