Arnau Tenas was born on 30 May 2001 in Vic, in the province of Barcelona. He began his football career very young, at the age of 3. Following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, Tenas decided to play as a goalkeeper from a very early age. He started at his hometown club, Vic Riuprimer, but very quickly, young Arnau was spotted by FC Barcelona scouts. In 2010, he joined the Blaugranas' youth academy. Subsequently, he became the goalkeeper for Barcelona B until the end of his contract with the Catalan club in 2023. With the national team, he climbed the ranks in the youth squads and became the number 1 goalkeeper for the Spain U21 team in 2019. In March 2022, he was even called up to the senior Spain national team, La Roja, by none other than Luis Enrique, as a replacement for Robert Sanchez.
As a free agent in the summer transfer window of 2023, he signed for Paris Saint-Germain on a three year contract.
