Zaïre-Emery the club's youngest player in the Champions League!

When he came on off the bench during Matchday 5 of the UEFA Champions League Group Stage and his side's 7-2 victory over Maccabi Haifa FC on Tuesday 25 October at the Parc des Princes, Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Warren Zaïre-Emery became the youngest player in the club's history to play in the competition.

Born on 8 March 2006 in Montreuil (Seine-Saint-Denis), Warren Zaïre-Emery, aged at just 16 years and 7 months, beat the record held by former Parisien Tanguy Kouassi, who got his first taste of the competition at 17 years and 6 months. He also became the first player born in 2006 to take to the field during a UEFA Champions League match.

A product of the Paris Saint-Germain youth set-up, which he joined in 2014, the European U17 champion with the France national side, had already become the club from the capital's youngest player to play for the club, and the first born in 2006 to take to the pitch in Ligue 1, on Matchday 1 of Ligue 1 and the 5-0 victory over Clermont Foot 63.
