Vitinha: "We want to win this game"

The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder spoke at the press conference ahead of the game against Newcastle United FC at 21:00 CET tomorrow night at the Parc des Princes, on Matchday 5 of the 2023–2024 UEFA Champions League group stage.

ON THE REVERSE FIXTURE

"I think that we spoke a lot after the game away to Newcastle. They were great that night. It was a tough game, and we know that that will be the case again tomorrow, but both I and the team will really focus on tomorrow's game. After the reverse fixture, there might be an extra bit of will to win tomorrow, but regardless of the match, we always want to win."

 ON TOMORROW'S GAME

"We know that we can go through tomorrow, but we're just focusing on our own game. To get through, we'll need to win anyway, so we'll just focus on what the coach expects from us. We want to win this game to get ourselves into a good position in the group, but we need to be focused, to give 100% and to follow the manager's plans. If we do that, the result will come."

ON HIS PHYSICAL CONDITION AND HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH Kylian Mbappé

"I feel good. I've had a good start to the season, but I want to do even more to help the team. Kylian and I often play together, so we're in good form and are managing to combine well on the left wing, but I think that we can still improve."

 ON Ousmane Dembélé

"Ousmane is a great player, as everyone knows, but he's also a great guy and someone that you can have a laugh with and that benefits the team. As a player, he's an important member of our side. He has great technical attributes as well as the ability to create an overload."

on Gonçalo Ramos

"I'm trying to play an important role in helping Gonçalo to settle in. I know how it feels when you come to a new country and a new club, so I'm trying to support him as much as possible. It takes time to adapt, but he's 100% committed to the squad, and he is already and will be very important for the team."
