Tuchel: 'Won't change our playing style'

Paris Saint-Germain coach Thomas Tuchel spoke to the press at the traditional pre-match press conference ahead of the first leg of the UEFA Champions League last-16 tie against Manchester United, this Tuesday 12 February at 21:00 CET at Old Trafford:

KYLIAN MBAPPÉ
"He has his qualities and there’s no need to put extra pressure on him. Kylian is Kylian and can’t replace Neymar and Edinson and play his own game at the same time. That's not his job. It’s up to the rest of the team to help him with good passes and he’s here with the right spirit and this is a great opportunity for him to progress and continue to grow."

PLAYING STYLE
"It’s not easy to change your playing style overnight. But it’s true that we are missing several key attacking players at the moment, but I’m not sure we should change our style. We are used to playing attacking football, it’s in our DNA and changing that isn’t easy. But there will be moment’s tomorrow when we are forced to play deep because Manchester United will put us under pressure. But in a match like tomorrow, we have to play as well as possible in every situation."

RESULT
"I don’t think about the result because we can’t always control that in football. But we can try and control our performance and I want us to play with courage, ready to fight and work hard with each other… but we are here to score, that’s for sure."
