Tuchel : 'A great start'

Thomas Tuchel, Marquinhos and Éric-Maxim Choupo-Moting spoke to PSG TV after Paris Saint-Germain's 2-0 win over Strasbourg, that qualifies the capital club for the last 16 of the Coupe de France.

Thomas Tuchel (Paris Saint-Germain coach):
"We made a great start. I really liked the quality and the rhythm. The only problem was that we struggled to get that second goal. I am especially happy with the performance of our midfield. Julian Draxler played very simple and discplined. Dani also played very well. Always with that same mentality. It's very important to go on a winning run. I don't have any update on Neymar. He has gone straight to the hospital. I think he was worried when he came off because it was the same right-foot that he was operated on last season."

Marquinhos (Paris Saint-Germain defender):
"The Coupe de France is a little more important following the elimination from the Coupe de la Ligue. We know that Strasbourg are a difficult team to play against. We showed the right attitude, winning the ball high up the pitch and creating chances. We tried to make the difference as a team. We have to continue with that mentality because it's easier when we all work hard together. The second goal was important to make the game safe."

Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting (Paris Saint-Germain forward):
"I'm happy to have played because I hadn't played much so far in 2019. The most important thing was that the team qualified. I'm happy to have helped the team with my assist for Edinson Cavani. We played a very good first half, but it was a bit tougher after the break. Strasbourg are a very good side, so it wasn't easy, but we did what we had to do. We can't win every game 9-0. Every team gives their absolute maximum against us, especially in the Cups. We didn't take all our chances, but we are happy with a 2-0 win."
