Thomas Tuchel: 'A very good first half'

Thomas Tuchel, Keylor Navas, Angel Di Maria, Ander Herrera and Leandro Paredes all gave their thoughts on Paris Saint-Germain's 4-1 win at OGC Nice in Friday's Ligue 1 game.

Thomas Tuchel (Paris Saint-Germain coach)
"We had a very good first half, and we started the second well too with a lot of chances to score a third goal and kill the game off. We lacked precision and determination. Nice then took more risks and we lost possession too easily. One too many and Nice scored. After that, it was more difficult, but the double sending-off decided it. Di Maria? He stayed with us during the international break and benefitted from some days off, that did him good. He has a lot of qualities and a good mentality. He always thinks about the team, brings his intensity, is reliable and professional. I'm very happy he's having such an influence in terms of goals and assists."

Keylor Navas (Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper)
"It was a tough game, and we started well with a lot of rigour. We also started the second half well, but then dropped a bit in intensity. We ended up with a good win, and showed character. It's good preparation for our next game, which we also want to win."

Angel Di Maria (Paris Saint-Germain midfielder)
"The important thing was to win. We started well and took advantage of the space. I'm very happy. The coach gives me confidence, and I have faith in him, and I want to repay that faith on the pitch." Speaking to Canal+ Sport

Ander Herrera (Paris Saint-Germain midfielder)
"We played against a good team, so we're happy to have won. Four-one is a very good result. We had prepared well for the game. We were very compact in midfield. We won, and controlled the game. It's true that after their goal and before the red cards it was difficult, but we're happy." Speaking to Canal+ Sport

Leandro Paredes (Paris Saint-Germain midfielder)
"We started the game very well and had a really good first half. We played well and scored two goals. Nice managed to reduce the deficit, but we eventually managed to score two more goals. We won, that's the best way to prepare for the next game. It'll be a tough game away from home. We have to recover now and prepare well for it."
