Thiago Silva: 'Focus on the preparation'
On the eve of the Coupe de France semi-final between Paris Saint-Germain and FC Nantes at the Parc des Princes, the Rouge et Bleu captain Thiago Silva spoke to PSG TV about the importance of winning the Cup for the fifth year in a row:
"We are approaching this match first and foremost, with a lot of respect for this Nantes side and in the knowledge that nothing comes easy in life… everything is difficult and we need to look at everything we’ve done this season, the good things and the bad things… we were eliminated from the Coupe de la Ligue, at home, against Guingamp – it was a strange match with three penalties given against us, and we should have done better and now we have the chance to reach another final… a very important final for the club and a special Cup at the Stade de France which is also a very special place to play and I hope we prepare very well and of course, that the coach gives us the chance to win, because before just playing well, you have to prepare well, be focused on how hard the challenge is and with our coaching staff, they will ensure we have every chance to play well as a team and of course the little details will make the difference."
