With their 1-3 win at the Stade Saint-Symphorien on Saturday afternoon, Paris Saint-Germain continued to build upon their impressive run against Fréderic Antonetti's side. Paris have now won 11 matches on the trot against Metz, since 18 August 2007 (0-0 in Lorraine). It's the third best run in club from the capital's history after Nantes (17 wins, 2007-2019) and Lorient (12 wins since 2013).

When Kylian Mbappé gets going, he is rarely happy with just one goal! And against Metz, the number 7 didn't break that rule, getting the opener in the fourth minute, before regaining the lead for his side on the hour mark. The Paris Saint-Germain forward has now scored at least two goals in a Ligue 1 match for the 8th time this season, that's more than any other in the league. In all competitions, it's the 13th time that he has scored at least two goals in the same match this season… As a reminder, the World Champion has been involved in 47 goals in 41 matches in Rouge et Bleu this season.

Coming on in the 81st minute and winning the penalty that he then converted, Mauro Icardi took less than 6 touches in 8 minutes before converting against Les Messins. And since returning to the side, the Argentine can't stop finding the back of the net. He has scored five goals in his last three matches in all competitions (1 goal vs Saint-Etienne in Ligue 1, 3 goals vs Angers in the Coupe de France, 1 goal vs Metz in Ligue 1).
