14 for... the number of points the parisians got during this season's UEFA Champions League group stage
With four wins, two draws and no defeats to their name, Paris Saint-Germain picked up 14 points in the UEFA Champions League group stage. The team's run began with a 2-1 victory over Juventus at the Parc des Princes, followed by a 1-3 win over Maccabi Haifa (Messi 37', Mbappé 69' and Neymar 88').
After that, Paris had a double-header against their closest rival in the group: Benfica. The Rouge et Bleu had then brought back a point from their trip to Lisbon on Matchday 3 (1-1: Messi, 22'), and could not do better than draw again on the following matchday (1-1: Mbappé, 39').
Finally, the Parisians had a spectacular victory in front of their home crowd when they hosted Maccabi Haifa (7-2: Messi 19', 44', Mbappé 32', 64', Neymar 35', OG 67' and Soler 84') before closing this group stage with a win in Turin (1-2: Mbappé 13' and Mendes 69').
However, this was not enough to finish top of the group. Benfica, who also won 14 points and who finished ahead of Paris thanks to a lower number of goals conceded away from home. With 14 points out of a possible 18, Paris Saint-Germain is the team that finished second in the group with the highest point total this season behind Liverpool (15). The club from the capital is better than RB Leipzig (12), Brugge (11), Inter Milan (10), Frankfurt (10), AC Milan (10) and Borussia Dortmund (9).
