The calm before the storm!

Paris Saint-Germain entertains Dijon this Saturday at the Parc des Princes, one week after the 4-3 win over Bordeaux. It marks the start of a new marathon of six matches for Les Rouge et Bleu between now and the international break at the end of March.

"We have a little time to analyse our performances, to train and prepare." After the spectacular victory over Bordeaux last Sunday, Thomas Tuchel was looking forward to a few days of respite to prepare for the next match. This is the first time since the January resumption that Paris Saint-Germain have not played a match in midweek.

And it was in the rain, wind and cold that the Parisians began preparations for their next match, the home match against Dijon at the Parc des Princes on Saturday at 17:30, the first of six matches awaiting Thomas Tuchel's players, culminating just before the international break with a trip to Marseille for Le Classique.

After Bordeaux, Marquinhos was already looking ahead to the few days of work and recovery that lay ahead for the squad: "We're aware that we can do better than that. We've shown that before. It's up to us to get back to this level. We've got a week's work ahead of us, we're coming off several intense weeks, we need to settle down, stay calm, to do better next Saturday."

There will be an air of revenge on Saturday. Last 1 November, Dijon won their very first match against Paris in the top flight 2-1, after losing the previous eight and Paris will be looking to set the record straight.

The Parisians will follow up with a trip to Lyon next Wednesday in the semi-finals of the Coupe de France, a few weeks after beating Lyon 4-2 at the Parc des Princes on Matchday 24 of Ligue 1. The Meinau Stadium will be the venue for the next match, with Paris travelling to Strasbourg on Saturday 7 March before hosting Borussia Dortmund for the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 second leg on 11 March.

This new marathon will close with a southern accent, with Nice coming to challenge Paris Saint-Germain in the capital on Sunday 15 March at 21:00, the same time the following week, with the Classique at the Stade VĂ©lodrome, before the last international break of the season.
