Stats & Facts: the Classique victory!

Match in numbers

What a game - and result - it was! We take a look at the key numbers from Sunday's 3-0 win in Marseille.

Paris MOVE CLEAR

A handful of weeks after losing in Marseille in the Coupe de France, the Parisians savoured their success to move onto 60 points, eight clear of their second-placed opponents.

League leaders, Paris are still on course to become the first team to lead the league table after all 38 rounds of the championship.

HISTORIC Mbappé!

With 200 goals, Kylian Mbappé became Paris Saint-Germain's joint-all-time leading scorer alongside Edinson Cavani. The Paris number 7 has taken just 246 games to bring up the double century.

He fabulous brace made him the first Parisian to score twice at the Vélodrome since Zlatan Ibrahimovic on 7 October 2012. He has not lost any of his 14 Classiques, winning all but two.

700 CLUB CAREER GOALS FOR Leo Messi

In netting Paris Saint-Germain's second goal, Leo Messi scored his first goal against Marseille and made it 700 career goals at club level. It was his 28th scored in the red-and-blue shirt.

Mbappé-Messi: A magical duo

With a hand in all three goals, the pair shone on the Mediterranean with Messi teeing up Mbappé twice either side of the Frenchman assisting the Argentine. They have now exchanged 10 assists in Ligue 1 this season, that's four more than any other duo.

Leo Messi is now the joint-leading assister across Europe's top five leagues with 12, the same as Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne.

100 wins for Captain Marqui

Officially Paris Saint-Germain captain since summer 2020, Marquinhos racked up his 100th win wearing the armband.
