100 wins for Captain Marquinhos

The Brazilian brought up a century of victories wearing the Paris Saint-Germain armband with Sunday's 3-0 Classique triumph.

Marquinhos brought up a milestone in Sunday's Classique, picking up his 100th win as Paris Saint-Germain captain.

It's a tally that started with a 6-2 defeat of Bordeaux on 30 September 2017, an evening when Kylian Mbappé scored his first goal at the Parc des Princes in the Rouge-et-Bleu shirt, the third of what is now a total of 200 in the club's colours.

One hundred wins in 146 matches as captain, and four trophies pour 'Marqui': 1 Ligue 1 title (2021/22), 1 Coupe de France (2020/21) and 2 Trophées des Champions (2020 & 2022).

And it was perhaps no surprise he notched his 100th win against Marseille: it was his 16th victory overall in a Classique in just 20 meetings with OM. He's lost just once.

Marseille are the side he's beaten most as captain (6 wins, along with Montpellier and Rennes) and the Brazilian, who arrived in Paris aged 19 in 2013, will soon rack up his 400th appearance for the club.
