Stats & Facts: A look back at the win over Revel

Match in numbers

Check out the key stats and facts from Les Parisiens’ 9-0 win over US Revel in the last 64 of the Coupe de France in Castres last night.

(THIRTY-)FOUR SEASONS

Les Parisiens' scintillating victory on Sunday night continues their long tradition of making it past the Coupe de France's round of 64. In fact, the capital club have won each of their last 34 games at this stage of the competition since losing 1-0 to Valenciennes in February 1990. 34 years without defeat in the last 64 – that's not bad going!

Scoring nine goals in one game isn't too common, either, but it's not completely unheard of for Paris. In fact, the last time they did so was in a league game at home to EA Guingamp on 19th January 2019, so it would certainly seem as though Les Parisiens enjoy treating themselves to a belated Christmas present. They've also scored nine goals on the road before: away to Troyes in 2016, again in Ligue 1.

MBAPPÉ's done it all

That man Kylian Mbappé is never satisfied – on top of being the club's all-time top scorer across all competitions as well as more specifically at the Parc des Princes and in Europe, he's now the club's all-time top scorer in the Coupe de France. Before the game, Mbappé only needed two goals to beat François M'Pelé's record of 28 in the competition, and one hat trick later, he earned himself a new crown.

ASENSIO GIVES YOU WINGS

What a performance it was from Marco Asensio. As he gradually makes his return after a spell on the sidelines, the Spain international certainly left his mark on last night's Coupe de France encounter, contributing to three goals (scoring one and assisting in two others), including one with a remarkable scorpion-kick pass for Mbappé, which the striker duly headed home. Now, there's a bit of skill that we won't be forgetting anytime soon!
