Paris take it at the finish!

The key moments
The league's two most prolific attacks met at the Groupama Stadium, and it only took 12 minutes for the first threat as Anthony Lopes turned away Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting's cross-shot (12'). Memphis Depay replied but didn't find the target (20'). The French champions, riding the momentum created by their win over Real Madrid, pushed on. Neymar Jr was denied by Lopes' outstretched foot (22'), Angel Di Maria was thwarted from a tight angle (24'), Choupo-Moting was blocked by Jason Denayer (33') and Neymar Jr forced another save from Lopes with a free-kick (41') as the chances came as thick and fast as the rain falling from the Lyon night sky.
Incredibly, half-time came without the Rouge-et-Bleu finding the breakthrough despite 13 shots, a record for a half this season.

The half-time interval changed nothing: Paris Saint-Germain continued to pin the hosts back. Abdou Diallo sent a header from a corner just over (59') and Di Maria - after a one-two with Choupo-Moting - gave the home fans palpitations (72'). Paris Saint-Germain had always managed to score with Neymar in their side, and Lyon's grip on a clean sheet slipped when the Paris number 10 eased clear of his markers and fired across Lopes and into the far corner (0-1, 87')! The result was all the more welcome as Paris are now seven points clear of Lyon, and three ahead of their nearest challengers, Angers.

A Parisian in the match: Ander Herrera
After coming off the bench against Strasbourg, Herrera celebrated his first league start in France. Precise and calm, the Basque - partnered by Marquinhos and Idrissa Gueye in midfield - touched the ball 64 times and completed 91% of his passes before being replaced by Marco Verratti 19 minutes from time.

The word: Clinical
And what if we rechristen the closing stages of a game 'Neymar Time'? Just like at the Parc against Strasbourg, Neymar Jr again conjured up a special match winner. The Brazil international has now been involved in 56 goals in 39 league matches (36 goals, 20 assists).

Up next
After the visit of Real Madrid, 'champagne football' remains the theme at the Parc where Reims will be on Wednesday with the Parisians hoping to continue their 100% home record (3 wins, 0 goals conceded). Reims, who are tenth, will be aiming to end their wait for a league win in the capital that has lasted since 1975.
