Paris Saint-Germain go through to the last 4!

The match:
Paris Saint-Germain season ticket holders are a lucky bunch! The nets at the Parc des Princes have been bulging with three more goals tonight against Dijon, 11 goals in three matches in the last six days...
Paris started quickly... too quickly for Dijon. Draxler released Di Maria with a superb defence-splitting pass and the Argentina star chipped Runarsson in the Dijon goal from just outside the box (1-0, 8')! El Fideo's left foot then added a second 20 minutes later, after his cross for Choupo-Moting came back and finished from a tight angle (2-0, 28')! The French champions were in front, but it was the visitors that fought back with Tavares hitting the post (32') before Coulibaly headed just wide from the resulting corner (33'). As half-time approached, Choupo-Moting (35') and then Paredes (41') both went close, before Di Maria saw his effort to complete a first-half hat-trick cleared off the line by Chafik (42')!

After the break, Paredes saw his missile of a free-kick tipped over by Runarsson (47'). While at the other end, Buffon punched clear thunderous strikes from Tavares (57') and Amalfitano (61'). A goal may just have seen Dijon right back into the game, but in the end, it was Paris that killed off the contest when Choupo-Moting, set up Meunier to side-foot home (3-0, 77')! THere was no way back for the Burgundy club and the four-time defending Cup winners were into the semi-finals again, on the back back of a record 28th consecutive Coupe de France victory.

A man in the match: Angel Di Maria
A magnificent free-kick against Montpellier last Wednesday (5-1) and another stunning golazo this evening! His chipped finish over the 'keeper was classix Fideo (8'). Above all, the Argentina international has now scored six goals and provided four assists in his last nine appearances in all competitions. Brilliant Angel!

The word: Clean-sheet
Tonight, Presnel Kimpembe honoured his 100th match for Paris Saint-Germain. The Titi, along with the rest of the Paris defence, did the job for 90 minutes and a fourth clean sheet in as many Cup matches this term. Better: Paris Saint-Germain now have six clean sheets in their last seven Coupe de France matches!

Coming up:
In the next 48 hours, we will know our semi-final opponent (to be played on 2 or 3 April). Before then, Paris Saint-Germain travel to Caen (18th), this Saturday (17:00 CET), in Week 27 of Ligue 1. Undefeated in 11 years at the Stade Michel D’Ornano in L1, Paris will be looking to extend their provisional lead at the top to 20 points over second-placed Lille!
