Paris-Monaco, a record 111th time!

Monaco will become part of Pari Saint-Germain history tomorrow night at the Parc des Princes...

The Monegasques will be facing the Parisians for the 111th time in official matches, breaking the record they currently hold jointly with Girondins de Bordeaux, who now play in Ligue 2.
The record between the two teams prior to the match at the Parc des Princes is 33 wins, 29 draws and 48 defeats for the Parisians. Monaco and Paris met for the first time in the final of the French national championship (formerly Ligue 2) at the former Stade Louis II on 6th June 1971. The two teams played out a 2-2 draw.

While Monaco remain the Rouge et Bleu's historical bogey team, the trend has been reversed considerably over the last few years, with Parisians having won 12, drawn three and lost just four of their last 19 official matches against the Monegasques since the start of 2017.

Monaco, a fond memory for some Parisian players: Safet Susic began his career with Paris against ASM at the Parc des Princes on 18th December 1982. After coming on as a second-half substitute, he was unable to prevent his side's 0-1 defeat. Ronaldinho scored his last goal for Paris Saint-Germain against Monaco from the penalty spot on 4th May 2003. Pedro Miguel Pauleta opened his account for Paris against the Principality on 24th August 2003 (Monaco won 4-2), and more recently it was in Monaco that Angel Di Maria made his Paris debut, with an assist to celebrate (A 3-0 win for the club from the capital on 30th August 2015).
