Mbappé stays top of Ligue 1's goalscoring charts

Following Matchday 13 of Ligue 1, Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappé continues to occupy the top spot in the French league’s goalscoring standings.

Paris Saint-Germain's frontline once again got the Parc des Princes crowd up on its feet last Friday with a spectacular 5-2 win over AS Monaco – the capital club's sixth straight victory in Ligue 1 – which keeps them top of the league with 30 points, one ahead of second-placed Nice.

Les Rouge et Bleu also lead the way in the French top flight's individual rankings, starting with its list of top scorers, at the summit of which Kylian Mbappé continues to extend his lead. By scoring Les Parisiens' second goal against Monaco on Friday, the France international found the back of the net for the 14th time in Ligue 1 this season.

As none of his closest competitors managed to find the back of the net at the weekend, the capital club's striker remains ahead of Montpellier HSC's Akor Adams (seven goals scored), AS Monaco pair Wissam Ben Yedder and Aleksandr Golovin (five goals scored each) and FC Nantes's Mostafa Mohamed (also five goals scored).

Despite also getting himself on the scoresheet against Les Monégasques, Ousmane Dembélé was overtaken as the league's top assist provider by Florian Sotoca, who racked up his fifth assist of the campaign at the weekend. The Paris winger is now one behind the Lens striker, as is his teammate Achraf Hakimi, who has also provided four assists in Ligue 1 so far this season.

As a result, the Paris Saint-Germain pair boast the same number of assists as AS Monaco duo Caio Henrique and Takumi Minamino, FC Nantes's Moses Simon, Lille OSC's Edon Zhegrova and FC Metz's Matthieu Udol.
