Paris get the job done

The key moments
The Parisians were never ruffled at the Stade Saint-Symphorien where they triumphed for the fourth successive visit, and deservedly so.

It was a new-look, rejuvenated Paris Saint-Germain that stepped out for their fourth league game of the season with debuts for Marcin Bulka (19) and Adil Aouchiche (17). Just ten minutes in, Mamadou Fofana sent Juan Bernat tumbling, and Angel Di Maria fired home from the spot (0-1, 11'). Involved in 17 goals in his last 17 league matches, the Argentine is in top form. From a corner, he then found Idrissa Gueye, whose header thwacked off the crossbar (17'). Habib Diallo twice went close for the hosts (14', 25') before Paris - without Kylian Mbappé and Edinson Cavani - had Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting to thank for their second goal. After Marco Verratti flighted in a free-kick, the Cameroon international rose to power home a header from inside the six-yard box (0-2, 44'). With 70 per cent possession, three shots on target, and a two-goal lead, the Rouge-et-Bleu were very much on top.

After the break, Farid Boulaya's free-kick flashed just wide (65') before Di Maria forced Alexandre Oukidja to punch clear (67'). Bulka then turned aside another Boulaya free-kick (79') and a Marvin Gakpa snap shot (87') to ensure Paris joined Rennes at the top of the table on nine points.

A Parisian in the match: Adil Aouchiche
A surprise inclusion in the starting XI, the youth academy product played his first 64 minutes of Ligue 1 football. At 17 years and 46 days old, he became the club's youngster-ever starter in the French top flight.

The word: 'Choupomania'
With Edi Cavani and Kylian Mbappé out, the Paris forward struck again. Five days after his brace against Toulouse, Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting added a third goal, one more than in 22 league games last season.

Coming up
It's time for the international break. The Parisians will be back in action on 14 September against Strasbourg at the Parc. Four days later, Real Madrid will be in the capital for the UEFA Champions League opener (21:00CEST).
