Neymar Jr named UCL Player of the Week

Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar Jr has been named the UEFA Champions League Player of the Week after his stunning semi-final performance.

Fans on UEFA.com voted Neymar Jr home ahead of Dayot Upamecano (Leipzig), Thomas Müller (Bayern Munich) and Moussa Dembélé (Olympique Lyonnais), who all impressed in the quarter-finals.

The Paris No.10 played a role in both Paris goals, scored by Marquinhos (90') and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting (93'), making 4 crosses, attempting 49 passes in the opposition half, enjoying 113 possessions and contesting 33 duels. 

Elected Man of the Match, he also had two shots on target, provided 4 shot assists and completed 76% successful passes.

NJR completed 16 successful dribbles in the match, the highest number in a Champions League match since 2006.
