Neymar Jr: Ligue 1 record breaker

After scoring in last night's 2-2 draw with Bordeaux, Neymar Jr registered his 30th goal in Ligue 1 since joining from FC Barcelona in August 2017. Here are the highlights of a dazzling career in the Rouge et Bleu so far.

September 8, 2017: Against Metz on an autumn Friday evening, Neymar made his first appearance alongside fellow new-signing Kylian Mbappé. The South American was again heavily involved in his side's 5-1 victory, getting himself on the score-sheet in the second half in Paris' fifth win in a row.

October 22nd, 2017: In a hot-tempered Classique against Marseille, Paris Saint-Germain's number 10 had a night of mixed fortunes for his side, bagging his 10th goal of the league campaign but seeing red late on, shortly before Edinson Cavani rescued a late point in France's biggest rivalry.

November 26, 2017: In one of the biggest tests of his Paris career so far against title rivals AS Monaco, Neymar calmly slotted home a penalty in an impacting 2-1 win at the Stade Louis II.

November 29, 2017: At the Parc des Princes, the Brazilian star netted his 15th, and arguably most spectacular strike in a red and blue shirt against Troyes, drilling home from outside the area in a 2-0 home victory.

January 17, 2018: After the winter break, Paris Saint-Germain returned to league action well rested and ready for action. Unfortunately for Dijon, they were the first visitors of the new year to the Parc des Princes and found a ruthless Paris side waiting for them. The home side put eight goals past the Burgundy club but it was the Brazilian striker who shone brightest. In what is to date his most spectacular performance in a Paris shirt, Neymar Jr achieved a staggering four goals and two assists on the night.
February 25, 2018: After a season of success, February 25th would prove to be a day to forget in the 2017/2018 for Paris Saint-Germain as Neymar Jr suffered a metatarsal fracture that would curtail his debut season in Paris.
August 12, 2018: After representing his country in the World Cup in Russia, Neymar Jr returned to league football in the 2018/2019 curtain raiser against Caen at the Parc des Princes, bagging his 20th Ligue 1 in the process to celebrate his comeback.
