Mauricio Pochettino: "A great match between two great teams"
The Paris Saint-Germain coach spoke at a press conference at the Ooredoo Centre on the eve of the semi-final first leg of the UEFA Champions League between the Rouge et Bleu and Manchester City.
THE FIRST LEG
"Playing the first match at home doesn't change much for us. We just know that it will be a difficult game, playing at home or away isn't important. We just need to be the best we can, in order to deserve to qualify for the final."
Manchester City
"In matches like these, it's always one team against the other. It's never a personal affair, and it won't be Pep against me. It will be a match between two great teams. Guardiola is one of the best coaches in the world, I admire a lot what he has achieved as a coach and as a player. I'm someone who loves football, and who is still learning, while all the time being competitive, and our objective is clear: to win."
THE KEY TO THE MATCH
"I won't be easy for anybody. City have incredible players who are difficult to control over the 90 minutes. But it will be the same story for them. They're having an incredible season, it will be difficult, but we will be at our best level in order to win."
THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
"We're taking thing step by step, because we arrived during the season. We need to take on Barcelona first of all, then Bayern, and they were two very different ties. The Champions League is one of the biggest competitions in the world. The players love playing in it, and they're working hard to be up to the level. City have put in remarkable work, but we are confident and respectful."
