Marquinhos : "Above all we’ll focus on ourselves"
The captain gave PSG TV his thoughts on the UEFA Champions League quarter-final draw, which pitted Paris Saint-Germain against Barcelona.
Marquinhos, what do you think of Paris’ Champions League quarter-final opponent?
"The Champions League draw is always a special occasion. FC Barcelona are an historic club, a team to be respected. They’re an opponent we’ve faced many times in the past, and there have been good times and not so good. We’ll prepare in the best possible manner."
In your opinion, how should the team approach this tie?
"I don’t think there’s a favourite in this tie. It’s going to be important to study our opponent to know how they play, but above all we’ll focus on ourselves. We have shown our strength and qualities during two good performances against Real Sociedad. Now, we have to keep working, I think the coach is also going to want to tweak some details between now and then which could make the difference. We have to keep going, focus on our work, and I’m convinced we can achieve some great things.”
