Luis Enrique: "It's important for us to play well"

The Paris Saint-Germain manager spoke at his pre-match press conference today, ahead of tomorrow’s game against FC Nantes at the Parc des Princes on Matchday 15 of Ligue 1.

ON THE WEEK'S WORK

"We've had a good week of training and have been able to work both tactically and physically. We've got some big games ahead of us, and we're looking forward to them."

ON ARNAU TENAS

"I'm happy to have so many good players around me. Regarding Arnau, it's important to highlight that he worked hard to be ready when we needed him. That's what happened last week; he turned up. We know how good he is, and he works hard to be ready at any given moment."

ON NANTES

"Several things happen when a new manager comes in. There are changes, as there were at Nantes when Jocelyn Gourvennec came in. They won [last Saturday], but they've only played one game in that new 4-3-3 formation. We know that other teams very often try to adapt to us, though, and we can expect more changes like that. They could change how they attack or how they defend; anything could happen."

ON MARQUINHOS AND WARREN ZAÏRE-EMERY

"Marquinhos has trained with the team and is doing well, as is Warren. They're both available for selection, which is good news for the team."

ON LOOKING AHEAD TO DORTMUND

"The game against Nantes is a big one, and we have another big game in a few days' time, but we're focused on Saturday's game. Nantes have got a new manager, who has changed a few things around but will still want his team to perform well against us. It's important for us to play well at home in order to prepare for the game against Dortmund in the best way possible."

ON THE NUMBER-NINE POSITION

"I've got players who are very good at playing as number nines, and depending on each of their profiles, we can adapt. We want to use space, and we're able to choose between this and that player depending on where we might find that space. I've got a lot of players who can play in that position, so I'm very lucky."

ON kylian MBAPPÉ

"I want him to play like he did last year and to have total freedom in attack. He can play on both wings and as a false nine, so he does have total freedom, and he'll play tomorrow as he always has done: with us and for the team."

ON BRADLEY BARCOLA

"He's mature enough to play in big games. I'm really happy with all of the players, including him. It's never easy to move from Lyon to Paris, but he has the ability to attack down both wings and is technically and physically strong. He's one for the future, and I hope that he'll stay at the club for a long time, but we want him to be better and more of a difference maker right now. The future is just around the corner."
