Luis Enrique: "In February we'll be stronger"

Luis Enrique and the man of the match discussed Paris Saint-Germain's qualification after the 1-1 draw with Borussia Dortmund.

Luis Enrique

"We suffered like everyone else and at the same time we enjoyed it when we attacked. But I think the reflection we can make is that after eleven new signings, a new staff, a new way and idea of playing, even a new training centre, I think we can be proud. We were drawn in the toughest group. I think we rose to the occasion, we could have been better and won that game and qualified first, but I'm happy and I'm sure that in February we'll be stronger. I'm very old, I have a lot of experience and I'm trying to instil confidence in the players and think about continuing to improve, nothing more. Qualifying is very important. It's very important because I think that to continue our progress, we need calm. In our case, in February, we'll be playing against a top team in the group, but we're looking forward to it."

"I can only take the positives. We played a good game overall and managed to create chances, which is the hardest thing in football, but now we have to make the most of them. We'll take the positives, and we'll see what happens next, but we'll be ready, whatever team we face. I enjoyed the match, we were able to manage our emotions. That's what we're learning. We came here looking for top spot, that was the objective, but we're going to do everything we can to win the next few games. My game? I felt good. I'm just coming back from injury and played a bit of the game against Nantes. So my cardio was good. I'd prepared well to come back. I felt very good."
