“The start to the season has been successful, even though it could have been better. I had a disrupted pre-season due to injury, but the start to this season has been good on all fronts. And I want to help the team on the pitch as much as I can, so I want to continue to progress.”

His ROLE

“I still have the same role as last year, I want to perform on the pitch, to make as big an impact as I can and to win as many titles as possible.  For us, the forwards, we have the ambition to want to score, the coach has a more general view, you need to have confidence in the coach’s ideas, we will get behind him, he is the captain of the ship. We need to accept the coach’s decisions, because everything that he does is in the interest of the team.”

“It’s important for a club to face teams like Juventus. We want to start this European campaign well at home. Our supporters expect a lot of us, we need to put in a good performance and pick up result after result. This match comes at the right time to kick start our European adventure and to continue our good form.”

His AMBITIONS

“I always want to win, and everyone knows that my objective is to do everything to secure a win. The Champions League is very difficult to win, the big teams have all strengthened, there are lots of teams that are ready and armed to win it.  We will battle to have the best Champions League campaign that we possibly can and we start with the ambition of winning it.”
