First appearance for Renato Sanches

The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder made his first appearance in a competitive match for the club from the capital on matchday 2 of Ligue 1 in a 5-2 win over Montpellier at the Parc des Princes on Saturday 13 August.

The Portuguese international, who arrived this summer from Lille, came on at the end of the match in the Rouge et Bleu's emphatic victory. He celebrated by scoring a goal a few seconds later after being served by his compatriot Nuno Mendes, with his second touch of the ball!

The club's number 18 thus became the 489th player in the history of Paris Saint-Germain, and the 15th Portuguese player to wear the red and blue shirt, after Agostinho, Alves, Cruz, Danilo, Guedes, Helder, Helder Marino, Hugo Leal, Humberto, Kenedy, Nuno Mendes, Pauleta, Teixeira and Vitinha.
