It’s the 103rd meeting between Paris Saint-Germain and Lyon, only two clubs have reached the symbolic milestone of 100 matches in the history of the Rouge et Bleu: Bordeaux (108 matches) and Monaco (106 matches). The record is in the Parisians' favour with 43 wins, 28 draws and 31 defeats.

Lyon will play their 46th official match against Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes. Only four clubs have done better: Bordeaux (54 matches), Marseille (50 matches), Nantes (50 matches) and Monaco (49 matches). Les Gones will join Lille (46 matches).

The last time the club from the capital and Lyon drew in Ligue 1 was on 8 February 2015 (final score 1-1 in Lyon). Since that draw, the two teams have played each other twelve times and PSG have won eight times, and lost four.

Paris Saint-Germain's lowest attendance in the league was against Lyon on 27 May 1980: 4,520 fans attended the 2-1 victory.

After Paris Saint-Germain, the oldest club in Ligue 1 since 1974, Lyon is the most presentin the top flight: since 1989, that is a run of 33 seasons at the highest level.

Paris Saint-Germain's top scorer against Lyon is Kylian Mbappé, with 10 goals scored. He is ahead of Edinson Cavani (9 goals), Zlatan Ibrahimovic (7 goals) and Mustapha Dahleb (6 goals).
Kylian Mbappé scored a quadruple against Lyon (5-0, on 7 October 2018). It was the 7th and last quadruple to this date in the Parisian club's history in the top flight.

Paris Saint-Germain have started only twice in the league with a 6-game winning streak (6 wins in 2017-2018 and 14 wins in 2018-2019).

This is the first time in the history of the club from the capital that Parisian strikers have scored at least 4 goals in the first two matches in the league at the Parc des Princes, after wins against Strasbourg (4-2) and Clermont (4-0).

Already 16 goals scored by the Parisians in the first five Ligue 1 matches this season, very close to the Rouge et Bleu record (19 goals in 2017-2018 and 17 goals in 2018-2019). No French team has scored as many goals in the last 45 seasons in the top flight!

Parisian scorers love Lyon, with 158 goals scored against Les Gones. Only one club has done worse than Lyon: Saint-Étienne, with 161 goals conceded.
